Kris_de_decker Kris De Decker was working as a freelance journalist for 12 years, writing articles on science, technology, economics and environment. In 2007, he left the sinking ship of traditional media and started his own website.

Low-tech Magazine refuses to assume that every problem has a high-tech solution. A simple, sensible, but nevertheless controversial message; high-tech has become the idol of our society.

The website was featured on (among others) Treehugger, Slashdot, Grist, Makezine, The Guardian, Energy Bulletin, DailyKos, Microsiervos, Metafilter, BibliOdyssey, Things Magazine and Dark Roasted Blend.

Low-tech Magazine also appears in Dutch and (be it for now in very modest form) Spanish.

The magazine could not exist without the help of Vincent Grosjean (London, UK), Matt Hill (San Francisco, US), Shameez Joubert (Grahamstown, South Africa), Adriana Parra (Barcelona, Spain) and my parents. Many thanks to you all.
